I tried selling used cars for a few years, but just had trouble sleeping at night. I decided to make my experience available to the world on this website.
I'd like to point out that you may just as well encounter a female car salesperson as you are to encounter a male car salesperson. I'm going to go out on a limb here though, and say that the majority of the people selling cars today are male. That's not meant to offend any ladies who might be reading this, it's just a fact.
Instead of saying "he or she" or "him or her" several hundred times throughout this site , I've just chosen to refer to the salesperson as "he" or "him". You could just as easily replace that with "she" or "her" and it may very well apply.
Also, I use the term "car" generally here. Of course that term also applies to a truck, van, suv, etc.
